2010 2015 2020
It's always such a treat for me to hear from past family clients wanting updated family photos. Seeing how the kids have grown and changed over the years and reflecting back on our past sessions is so fun. Of course the parents hardly change at all. How is that possible? I consider clients such as this family, to be great friends! We have fun at the session, then chat about life, cats, and everything and anything during ordering sessions and various communication.
Our first session was in 2010. I happened to have a videographer with me doing some behind the scenes for a promo video which I have added to the end of this blog post.
That made things even more fun. Each session has been done at their lovely family cottage in Keppoch on the south shore. So timing is crucial in terms of light, tide, weather etc.
In 2015 there was a big 50th wedding celebration. I photographed the family groups before the celebration and took a lot of photos at the event to commemorate the occasion. So fun to be a part of families celebrating big milestones! I actually went to high school with Joel's sister and lived a few houses down the street during my unruly teenage years. So it was fun to see what everyone is up to now.
Our 2020 session was iffy as it was one of those days where rain seemed imminent and the breeze seemed a bit much for three long haired subjects! We just went for it and it worked out amazingly! Weather was fantastic and the tide was out the perfect amount.
It's become tradition to photograph these cutie sisters at the top of the stairs leading to the beach. I still can't believe the oldest is driving and just bought her own car!
Seeing these two side by side make me smile! So CUTE! It will be interesting to repeat this one in 2025! Perhaps the kids will have the parent on their backs for that one!
There are always an abundance of awesome moments captured during our sessions which makes it hard to choose favourites. Storyboards or albums are a wonderful way to have many images displayed together. This will be their third 24" Storyboard full of fun photos to enjoy along with one single family portrait to be hung and admired. Of course she also has all of these to share on facebook. What a great legacy of printed photographs they will have to enjoy and reflect upon for many years to come.
2010 Promo Video
Looking back ten years. I also did beach family portraits for the wedding couple in this video this past summer! They have 3 gorgeous children! Perhaps I will do a post with their photos over the years with me.
Thanks for reading and hope you enjoyed!
Until next time!
Louise
