Anyone who knows me, realizes I am somewhat of a kitty cat fanatic! I will post separately with photos of my own felines, but for now I'd like to share a few photos from today. Winnie's human was sad that the PEI Humane Society's, fundraiser Santa Pix that I volunteer for annually ended up canceled due to COVID 19. She really wanted portraits of her 6 month old kitten so reached out to me and I agreed. How can I say no to a cute fluffy subject?
My holiday background was already set up attempting to photograph my own cats plus I set up my red muslin which gives a timeless, non-holiday look.
Sweet Winnie was a very curious kitty and wandered all over the studio sniffing away at all the new sniffs! I made sure the door to my office and bathroom were closed (less places to hide!), and of course my kitties were locked away in the house.
We weren't sure we'd get her to sit still long enough to take any photos (note the black and white one...she was underneath my side table in the client room). Through tricks, toys, patience, and determination we managed to get a few keepers! Don't worry, Winnie's mom and I both wore masks the entire time and kept our distance. Winnie however did not wear a mask :)

Winnie did not want to sit up on the stool or the table that I had ready. Typically I have better luck when cats are up on a higher platform but she would just jump right down. She sure did love the feather toy so I lured her to the window sill while flapping the 'bird' behind the sheers. Got some cute ones there.
The humans were getting quite the workout chasing this little one. However, I was determined to get one on the red background. While this is not exactly what I had envisioned, I LOVE this capture....or is it a CAT-ture.... sorry I know all the cat puns!
How ridiculously cute is she??
Whew, were were DONE! while saying goodbye Winnie decides to strike a pose on my sofa. I always say we are never FINISHED until you are in the car driving away. I keep my camera around my neck til the very end! Side note, I actually caught a human baby's first steps this way!
Well that was my afternoon! I hope it brings a little smile to your day like it did to mine.
